You might consider wearing a watch that has 100 meters water resistance in weather like we are having right now. This Citizen EcoDrive watch is one of our most popular models. Keep your watch in good shape and be careful in this crazy weather. Water Resistance for watches is a relative measure and a very confusing concept. From our experience, most if not all water activities are best enjoyed with a watch that has 100m or higher Water Resistance. Watches with less than 100m Water Resistance will offer some protection but if you are having as much fun the the Columbia River Gorge and the Cascade Mountains as we do, you will need the extra water resistance.
